The Complainant having reviewed the applicable reports believes the following facts to be true: On July 12, 2025, a female, K. H., reported to St. Paul police that on July 10, 2025 at approximately 7:00 P.M. She was assaulted by Breasha Lennetta Harges, [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein. At the time of the assault, the victim was a minor. She told police that on July 10, 2025 at approximately 7:00 P.M. She was sitting on the sidewalk in front of [ADDRESS REDACTED]. In the city of St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, when defendant approached her and called her a b**** and said she was going to "smack the s*** out of her." The victim told police that defendant then swung at her, slapped her in the face and punched her multiple times.
Police observed swelling and bruising around the victim's right eye. The victim told police that a portion of the attack was captured on video and was posted to social media. St. Paul police secured surveillance video from two nearby stores. Police watched the videos and noted that defendant was the clear aggressor and continued to be the aggressor throughout the fight which lasted approximately ten to fifteen minutes. The video showed the victim [NAME REDACTED] in front of 440 University when defendant approached her.
The victim walked toward defendant and then defendant struck the victim. A fight began between the two of them. At one point defendant threw the victim to the ground and punched her multiple times. After a few minutes the victim ran inside a grocery store. The defendant pursued her inside. They fought in there then they both ran out. At that point, the employees locked the doors. However, they re-opened the doors when the victim asked to re-enter with her friend. They then re-locked it so defendant could not enter.
Defendant tried violently to open the door and was able to defeat the lock and entered the store. The victim hid under a counter, while defendant tried to strike her and threw grocery items at her. After a few minutes a male entered the store and dragged out defendant. On August 27, 2025, a St. Paul police officer spoke to defendant on the phone. Defendant told police it was a mutual affray. Police asked defendant why she punched the victim while on top of her and why she chased her into the grocery store.
The defendant became upset and ended the call. A record check reveals that defendant was convicted of Assault 2, a QDVRO offense, in Ramsey County on July 19, 2023. Based on the above, the state respectfully requests a complaint and warrant in this matter.
