Probable Cause
On March 19, 2026, the Anoka Police Department received a report from the Anoka County Workhouse of an escaped inmate. The Workhouse reported that JOSHUA JAY HENRY [DOB REDACTED], "Defendant" herein, had left the Workhouse without permission. Workhouse staff reported that on March 11, 2026, at approximately 8:47 pm, Defendant entered the male locker room without permission and changed out of his uniform and into his personal clothes. Staff asked Defendant what he was doing and he stated that he was leaving.
Defendant did not have permission to leave and was advised that if he left, he would be charged with Escape from Custody. Defendant replied that he understood but that he was leaving anyways. Defendant then exited the facility. Defendant was convicted of felony Theft on May 28, 2025, in court file no. 02-CR-24-3002. Defendant was in custody at the Workhouse in Anoka County following a court order in that case on February 24, 2026, to serve 180 days, forthwith.
