David Richard Ferguson

On March 20, 2026, at approximately 4:25 P.M., Saint Paul Offices responded to the 600 block of Ruth Street North, Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a domestic assault. Officers arrived and were approached by ARK who had bruises and marks on her body, including red marks in the shape of prints on the right side of her neck, redness and swelling around her right eye, and bruises on her arm. ARK said at around noon, her boyfriend-DAVID RICHARD FERGUSON, [DOB REDACTED]-awakened her because he wanted a “blowjob,” which she refused.

FERGUSON dragged her out of the bed, pinned her down to the floor with his hands and held her arms down. He twisted his hands on her skin giving her “snake bites” on her upper arms. He strangled her with his left hand. She tried to say, “let go, let go.” FERGUSON continued to tighten his grip around her throat. She saw stars and her eyes rolled back in her head while she was being strangled. When FERGUSON stopped strangling her, he slapped her on the right side of her face leaving a bruise on the left side of her eye.

ARK said it hurts for her to swallow. As officers spoke to ARK, she checked the area in fear that FERGUSON would return. Medics evaluated ARK. She declined a transport to the hospital due to insurance. FERGUSON also told her the doctors would sedate her, and she did not want that. ARK said FERGUSON threatens her by saying, “I will smother you with a pillow and shoot you two times in the head with a silencer.” FERGUSON’s phone password is “kilher,” with the number pin. ARK also said FERGUSON threatens to take her dog away.

ARK was concerned about what would happen to her if FERGUSON was released because she called police. Officers located FERGUSON’s vehicle on Minnehaha Avenue. FERGUSON told police he knew why they were there and that it was probably about ARK. FERGUSON said he was trying to leave the house to go to work when ARK pulled on his shirt to get him to stay, ripping it. When asked if ARK had injuries, FERGUSON said that if she had redness on her face, it was because she self-inflicted them. When asked about the marks on ARK’s arms, FERGUSON said that he held her as “she was hanging over the railing.” FERGUSON showed officers his shirt in his vehicle.

The shirt had rips on both sides of the collar. In a subsequent interview, ARK said FERGUSON has been her boyfriend for approximately 2 and ½ years and have lived together for two years. In blueprint questioning, ARK said she believes FERGUSON will kill or seriously injure her because he told her he would smother her with a pillow and shoot her two times in the head with a silencer. The abuse is getting worse and has been physical since May of last year. In May of last year, FERGUSON gave her a black eye and strangled her.

ARK said that FERGUSON has a gun in the basement.
