On December 29, 2025, at 8:29 A.M., Detective Nelson with the Washington County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a phone call regarding stolen property. Detective Nelson spoke with P. H., who stated he is employed by Global Specialty Contractors. P. H. Explained that in 2024, his company was working on the light rail in Minneapolis and had several items of construction equipment stolen, including a Hilti brand concrete vibrator valued at $3000. P. H. Stated that he has been searching Facebook Marketplace recently to see if the stolen items were being offered for sale.
P. H. Discovered that TIMOTHY JAMES HUNT, [DOB REDACTED], was offering the stolen concrete vibrator for sale. P. H. Had the receipt for the concrete vibrator, which stated the item's serial number. HUNT'S Facebook post also included the matching serial number for the item. Through investigative techniques, it was determined that HUNT resides in the city of Mahtomedi, Washington County. P. H. Stated that he believed HUNT may have also been working on the jobsite in 2024, for a different contractor company.
Detectives with the Sheriff's Office set up a meeting with HUNT, claiming they wanted to purchase the concrete vibrator. On January 8, 2026, Detectives met with HUNT, who was identified by his Minnesota driver's license, at the Oakdale Fleet Farm store. The stolen concrete vibrator was found in HUNT'S possession and recovered. During a search of HUNT'S vehicle, officers located two plastic bags containing suspected narcotics. The substance in the first bag NIK-tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed.7 grams.
The substance in the second bag NIK-tested positive for fentanyl and weighed.5 grams. HUNT was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail where he remains in custody.
