On or about 3/29/2026, Officers with the Minneapolis police department responded to an address on the 600 block of Cedar Ave S in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, Officers and EMS located a woman passed out in the hallway with a large laceration on her stomach. The victim [NAME REDACTED], where she was identified as RMO, and gave a statement. She stated that she and her husband, Abdulbasit Ahmed Mohammed, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, live in the apartment together. She stated Defendant recently had a stroke and his left arm is paralyzed.
She stated that during the incident, the Defendant was intoxicated. The two of them got into an argument and he had demanded that the Victim [NAME REDACTED]. She refused. At one point during the argument, she was lying in bed and heard glass break in the other room. The Defendant asked the Victim to bring him another bottle of alcohol. She responded that he shouldn't be drinking but eventually brought him another bottle of alcohol. At this point, the Defendant stabbed her in the stomach with a broken glass bottle.
The Defendant said that if she didn't leave the apartment, he would kill her and people would have to come pick up her body. At this point, she ran out of the apartment, knocked on several other doors for help, and eventually passed out in the hallway where EMS found her. The Defendant was arrested and taken into custody on this charge.
