On April 12, 2026, officers responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Brooklyn Center, Hennepin County, Minnesota, for a domestic assault. The 911 caller reported that his mom’s boyfriend, ADRIAN ESTIVEN CARDOSO VALENCIA [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, hit her and she was bleeding. Upon arrival, officers noted blood on the front door and droplets of blood throughout the house on the carpet, in the kitchen, and in the living room. Officers found the Victim sitting on the couch with her hands and feet covered in blood.
The Victim [NAME REDACTED], her boyfriend of 7 months, got mad about a phone call and began choking her. She could not breathe while Defendant had his hands wrapped around her neck. She hit him with a beer bottle to escape, then started screaming for help. Defendant began repeatedly punching her in the face with a closed fist. The Victim fell to the ground and believes she may have lost consciousness. Her son heard her screaming and came downstairs. Defendant fled the residence. Officers noted injuries on the Victim consistent with strangulation such as broken blood vessels in her right eye.
The officer also noted significant bruising under both the Victim’s eyes, a cut on her hand which EMS advised likely needed stitches, and a missing tooth. Defendant is in custody.
