On November 22, 2025, around 8:42am, Blaine officers responded to 345 89th Lane NE in Blaine, Anoka County, MN, regarding a civil dispute over a vehicle involving J. V. B., L. C. V., and NATHAN DANIEL HOLMES [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. JVB and LCV had been in a relationship, and both were listed on the vehicle's title. JVB reportedly entered the apartment where LCV was sleeping without permission. JVB reported that Defendant used a hammer in a threatening manner, but Defendant and LCV disputed that.

About 30 minutes later, officers were called back because of property damage. JVB reported that he was sitting inside his vehicle when Defendant threw something at it, causing damage to the hood. Officers observed the damage and noted that it was not present earlier. JVB obtained a written estimate of $2,388.49 to repair the vehicle. As of the filing of this complaint, Defendant is not in custody. The State is requesting a complaint summons.
