On February 19, 2026, at approximately 1:35 am, Officer Goff with the Annandale Police Department was dispatched to a physical domestic at a residence located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in the City of Annandale, Wright County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, Officer Goff met with KRJ who stated that Justin Virgil Jorgenson [DOB REDACTED] hereinafter defendant had gotten home earlier around midnight and was intoxicated. Defendant began to yell at KRJ stating there were footprints in the snow and accused KRJ of cheating on him.
Defendant and KRJ have been married for about a year and a half, have been together for four years, and reside together. KRJ stated the argument became physical and defendant attempted to drag KRJ out of bed to show her the footprints. Defendant slapped KRJ’s arm and grabbed KRJ’s throat. KRJ stated defendant held her throat for approximately 6 seconds and restricted her breathing. KRJ stated when defendant grabbed her throat, she felt a “crunch.” Defendant also smashed the bedroom door in attempt to get to KRJ and Child 1, and Child 2, who are KRJ’s children.
Officer Goff observed red marks on KRJ’s throat when speaking with her. Officer Goff spoke with defendant who admitted to an argument but stated he did not touch KRJ but admitted to breaking the bedroom door. Officer Goff spoke with Child 1 and Child 2 who confirmed they were sleeping with KRJ when defendant came home. The children stated they heard defendant yelling at KRJ. Both children indicated they observed defendant hit KRJ and grabbed her throat. The children stated they were scared of defendant and scared he would hurt KRJ. Defendant has one prior domestic related offense under Court file No. ••-CR-••-•••• and an assault 4 conviction under Court File No. ••-CR-••-•••• with a conviction date of April 25, 2017.
