On November 6, 2024, officers with the Rochester Police Department were doing surveillance for a controlled substance investigation they were conducting. They observed an individual meet with another person suspected of engaging in sales of controlled substances. The interaction was consistent with a short-term drug transaction. They observed this individual drive his vehicle (MN BGW005) away from the meeting location. A short time later, officers initiated a traffic stop on that vehicle in NW Rochester, Olmsted County, MN. The driver of the vehicle was identified as TANNER CLARK BUSCH [DOB REDACTED]. While speaking to officers, Busch admitted that there was methamphetamine in the car and he had just purchased it from the individual he met with.
A search was conducted and the following items were found: 16.7 grams (including packaging) of methamphetamine in the center console 38.9 grams (including packaging) of methamphetamine in the sunglasses compartment Miscellaneous items of controlled substance paraphernalia These items were sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for testing. The substances tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed a total of 48.5 grams (without packaging). PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE.
