The text messages go back as far as February 9, 2026 and show Halvorson asking Defendant if Defendant's girl can get Halvorson "like 4 oranges? The ones I picked up last time?" Defendant tells Halvorson that if Halvorson wants them left somewhere, Halvorson should call Defendant's girl around a certain time. On February 27, 2026, when Halvorson asks Defendant if his girl can get Halvorson 4 oranges, Defendant tells Halvorson "I can you them, I'll line it up but I need two of his and 4 of yours." Also on that date, Halvorson asks Defendant if Defendant thought his wife "could compensate for gas with some of those oranges." Defendant replied, "maybe" and "I will sighn out enoufh if u cam grab them, if not get 1 arange and 4 of ur things." On February 28, Defendant confirmed with Halvorson that Defendant got those 2 14-CR-26-1198 Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 4/11/2026 lined up but his girl could not pick them up until the 9th.
Defendant stated "I will give u six if u can be patient." Halvorson stated "ok, that's cool." Two hours after that text message exchange, Defendant texted Halvorson and told him, "if you want those today, call me asap." On March 2, 2026, Defendant texted Halvorson and stated "hey bro, do me a solid and I'll 20 or make her give you a couple extra." Halvorson replied asking if Defendant's girl had to wait until the 9th or if it could be sooner. Defendant stated it could be the next day or the day after that.
On March 6, 2026, Defendant texted Halvorson and stated "when you get off work Monday my wife has six oranges and 120 cash." Halvorson responded "ok bro sounds good.
