On May 11, 2026, at approximately 9:58 A.M., police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. The caller reported that his child’s mother punched him in the back of the head and broke his necklace. The caller said he would be waiting outside in his truck as the suspect was inside the residence. Upon arrival, police met with the caller, GV, who had two scratch marks on his chest. GV told police that he has been in an on/off relationship with the mother of his four children, SARAH ANN UMEZURIKE – [DOB REDACTED], for more than 13 years.
GV reported that they broke up in February of 2026. GV said that on Saturday, May 9, UMEZURIKE told him not to bring anyone else over when he came to pick up the children. That morning (May 11), GV went to UMEZURIKE’s house to pick up the children. GV said he and UMEZURIKE argued about a shirt he asked his daughter to get for him from inside the house, and UMEZURIKE accused him of cheating. GV denied the accusation. GV reported that as he put a car seat into his truck, UMEZURIKE punched him once in the lower back area of his head.
GV reported immediately feeling dizzy then turned around and asked UMEZURIKE why she would do that to him. GV stated that UMEZURIKE snatched his two gold chain necklaces that contained two rings off his neck, which caused the scratches on his chest. GV told police that his five year old daughter was present during the assault and was crying. GV said UMEZURIKE went in the front door of the house with his jewelry then exited out the back door with his daughter. GV stated that UMEZURIKE tried to get in her vehicle that was parked in the driveway, and he told her that he called the police.
GV said UMEZURIKE told him, “F*** you,” then went back inside. Police tried to call UMEZURIKE, but the call went straight to voicemail. Police knocked on the door of the residence multiple times, but no one answered. GV called his oldest child and asked them to come outside. GV received a text back saying UMEZURIKE left the address. GV told police that he believed the children were safe with UMEZURIKE. GV reported that the gold chains taken off his neck by UMEZURIKE were each worth approximately $500. GV estimated that one of the rings was worth about $4,000 and the other was worth about $400. The officer felt a small lump on the back of GV’s head where he reported that UMEZURIKE punched him.
GV was assessed by medics and declined transport to the hospital. UMEZURIKE has a prior conviction for gross misdemeanor OFP Violation in Ramsey County District Court File No. ••-CR-••-•••• on July 5, 2016.
