04/29/1978) driving a 2020 gray Hyundai Sonata in the area of 19th Avenue and 5th Street SE in Willmar, Kandiyohi County. Agent Puckett followed the vehicle as it pulled into the Kwik Trip on 1st Street in Willmar. Agent Puckett was aware there was probable cause arrest for MCKENNA for 5th Degree Controlled Substance Possession from earlier the same day. At approximately 1250 hours, MCKENNA was observed exiting Kwik Trip and walking back to his vehicle that he parked at a gas pump. MCKENNA was arrested without incident.
After MCKENNA was escorted to the jail, CEE-VI agents applied for and was granted a search warrant from the 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Agents noted a black backpack on the passenger seat and that information stated that MCKENNA carried his controlled substances in a black bag similar to what was observed. During a search of the vehicle, agents located a Ziploc baggie that contained another baggie located to the left of the driver’s wheel in plain view. The baggie contained a crystal substance that weighed 3.71 grams with packaging and filed tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine.
Another Ziploc baggie was located in the center cupholder area and weighed 2.63 grams with packaging and field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. Additionally in the center console area, a napkin was located that contained a crystal substance that filed tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and weighed 0.40 grams without packaging. In total, 6.74 grams of methamphetamine were located in the vehicle MCKENNA was driving. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn.
