On or about August 14, 2025, at 11:08 A.M., Officers of the Blaine Police Department observed a vehicle commit multiple driving infractions. Thereafter, officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle near 91st Ave NE and University Ave NE, Blaine, Anoka County, Minnesota. The driver was identified as WAYNE MATTHEW HOLZER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. Officers called Defendant’s insurance company to verify insurance, but the policy had lapsed on June 10, 2025, for lack of payment. Defendant was showing eight insurance charges since 2017. Defendant was taken into custody and the vehicle was towed.
In a search incident to the tow, a resealable bag with a white crystal substance suspected to be methamphetamine was found on the floorboard behind the front passenger seat. During a post-Miranda statement, Defendant admitted the substance was his. Midwest Lab testing confirmed the substance positive for.458 grams of methamphetamine.
