On April 3, 2026, at approximately 3:06 P.M., several officers were dispatched to Billy's Bar and Grill, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], in the city of Anoka, Anoka County, Minnesota, to investigate drug activity in the establishment. Law enforcement spoke with several employees of the restaurant and learned that a patron T. A. H. [DOB REDACTED] of the bar approached the bartender, M. D. H. [DOB REDACTED] and told her that three individuals were involved in a drug transaction. M. D. H. Was aware of one of the individuals and that individual recently had a “drug raid” at her house.
Staff told police they wanted all three people removed and trespassed from the premises. Staff and witnesses described the three people who were later fully identified. As police approached the three individuals, one male, later fully identified as Gary Steven Carlson [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter the Defendant, immediately fled the bar and was detained. Defendant then physically resisted arrest in his attempt to flee. During a search incident to arrest, officers removed two clear bags containing a crystal-like substance from the Defendant’s right pocket.
Law enforcement later tested the substances which showed a positive result for the presence of Methamphetamine. The packaged weight for crystal-like substance was 25.6 grams.
