On March 18, 2026, at approximately 6:50 P.M., Edina Police were monitoring cameras at Southdale Center in Edina, Hennepin County. Police observed a male and female walking from the bus stop towards Kowalski's with a large plastic bag and backpack. Once inside the store, police and security reviewed cameras and watched the female suspect select multiple items. The male suspect then selected hot food, and both suspects entered the bathroom for approximately 20 minutes. When they exited, the male suspect had changed clothes, and the hot food container was gone.
Both suspects left the store without attempting to pay for or forfeit the merchandise. Both suspects then went to Ralph Lauren Polo and police responded to the store. At approximately 7:47 P.M., both suspects exited the store and were stopped regarding the thefts and placed under arrest. The female suspect was identified as SAMANTHA LARAY KEEZER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. During a search incident to arrest, police located $512.81 of merchandise from Kowalski's and Ralph Lauren Polo on Defendant.
Defendant had $204.81 in merchandise from Kowalski's and $308 in merchandise from Ralph Lauren Polo. At present, Defendant is not in custody. Defendant has a conviction for Simple Robbery from August 25, 2022, in Case No. 27-CR-22-12533.
