On October 4, 2025, at approximately 11:10 A.M., Minneapolis Police officers were dispatched to a domestic assault with a gun call in the 2300 block of 32nd Street in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Upon arrival, police encountered an identified female, Victim herein, who appeared scared. She reported that her boyfriend, JUSTIN TRAMELL MCCOY JR., DOB, was mad at her for sleeping on the couch rather than in the couple’s bed the night before. Defendant expressed this anger by throwing food in Victim’s face, pushing her, putting both of his hands around Victim’s throat, causing her to lose consciousness for approximately 30 seconds, and repeatedly stated “I’m going to kill you.” Victim [NAME REDACTED] was unable to get into the elevator before Defendant reached her and forced her back into the apartment.
Defendant brandished a gun during the incident, while telling her he would kill her and her dog. Victim moved out of her shared apartment with Defendant after the above incident and into an apartment on the 2500 block of Emerson Ave., in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. She had some of Defendant’s personal belongings that she wanted to return to him. On November 19, 2025, Victim arranged a pickup of those items by Defendant. At approximately 5:00 P.M., Defendant arrived to retrieve the items and entered the building. While in the building, Defendant began tampering with the doorknob to Victim’s apartment. Defendant was unable to open the door. While attempting entry to Victim’s dwelling, Defendant made the following threats: “B****, I will kill you and your family”, “I am going to shoot you and your dog”, and “I am going to shoot your car.” Victim called 911. Defendant’s whereabouts are unknown.
