On February 10, 2026, around 11:06pm, St. Francis officers were dispatched to an assault report at 3925 233rd Ave NW in St. Francis, Anoka County, MN. The victim (J. B. U.) reported that around 8pm that evening, he was punched in the face by MARK RUDOLPH STROHMAYER JR. ([DOB redacted]), Defendant herein, who had been living in a neighboring unit. J. B. U. Said Defendant was texting him about turning down his music, but he refused. He eventually went outside to meet Defendant, who punched him in the face, causing him to fall and hit his chin on the ice.
His chin was split open and required four stitches. He also had a bruise on his forehead and swelling on his cheek. Officers took photographs of the injuries and of the blood and footprints outside. Officers also attempted to speak with Defendant, but he refused to come to the door. Detective Hearn later spoke to a witness who was in the unit with Defendant. She said Defendant made a comment to the effect of "he got his." She also said Defendant stated that he "hit him once and he went down." Detective Hearn also spoke to Defendant, who claimed J. B. U. Fell on the ice.
He denied punching J. B. U. Defendant is currently on probation in Ramsey County file 62SU-CR-20-2661 (MSD DANCO Violation) and in Anoka County file ••-CR-••-•••• (FEL Possession of Firearm or Ammo by an Ineligible Person). He received a dispositional departure in the Anoka file and has a pending probation violation hearing in that file set for 3/17/26 at 11am. Defendant is not in custody as of the filing of this complaint. The State is requesting a complaint summons.
