Based upon the information contained therein, your Complainant believes the following to be true and correct: That at approximately 10:04 P.M. On November 29, 2025, Officer LeMay was out on routine patrol traveling East Point Douglas Road in the City of Cottage Grove, Washington County, Minnesota, when observed a Buick Enclave that displayed expired registration. Officer LeMay ran the plate number for the Enclave, RYY065, and confirmed the registration was “expired”. Officer LeMay also observed that the registered owner was “revoked”. The registered owner was one AGUD OMOT OJULU, hereinafter referred to as “the Defendant.” Officer LeMay initiated a traffic stop on the Enclave after confirming the registration was expired.
Once stopped Officer LeMay approached and asked the female driver for both her driver’s license and proof of insurance. The female driver stated that she “did not have her driver’s license on her” as she “forgot it at home”. The female driver then identified herself verbally as one AULU ABOLO CHAM with a date of birth of 6/17/1968. Officer LeMay had the female driver spell out her name. The driver then changed the birth year to 1978. Officer LeMay was suspicious of the name provided as the female driver did not appear to be old enough to have either a 1968 or 1978 birth date.
Officer LeMay asked the female driver a second time for her name and date of birth. This time the driver stated AULU AWBLLA CHAM with a date of birth of 6/1/1984. Officer LeMay returned to his squad and ran the second name provided. It came back as “not on file.” Officer LeMay then pulled up a DVS for the registered owner and it was a match to the female driver. Officer LeMay confronted the driver with the photo and the Defendant admitted it was her. Officer LeMay asked why she lied about her identity.
The Defendant stated that she was “scared”. The Defendant was also unable to provide Officer LeMay with any insurance information covering the Buick Enclave. Officer LeMay confirmed that the Defendant’s status in Minnesota was “revoked” due to an August DWI related incident. That check also revealed that the Defendant had insurance related convictions on 5/28/2018, 7/12/2018, 11/29/2021 and 2/19/2024. The Defendant was placed under arrest for providing false information and for the driving related offenses.
Your Complainant has learned that 3 of the 4 insurance related convictions were entered to the Defendant’s driving record as a Petty Misdemeanor offenses and would not qualify for enhancement. The above facts constitute PROBABLE CAUSE to believe that on or about the 29th day of November, 2025, in the City of Cottage Grove, Washington County, State of Minnesota, one AGUD OMOT OJULU, committed the above described offenses.
