On November 24, 2025, at approximately 12:23 A.M., Officer Roth was on routine patrol in the area of Cub Foods located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] N. W., in the City of Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota, when the officer observed a vehicle pulling out of the Baker's Square parking lot. The officers observed that the vehicle was bearing MN license plate [PLATE REDACTED], which was a whiskey plate, so the officer ran routine checks on the vehicle. The officer learned that the vehicle had been previously operated by Eric James Takemoto, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein.
The officer ran defendant through NCIC and learned that his driver's license had been cancelled as inimical to public safety. The officer followed the vehicle until he was able to drive alongside it. The officer had observed defendant's driver's license photo and was able to confirm that defendant was the person currently driving the vehicle. The officer stopped the vehicle and confirmed defendant's identity. The officer advised defendant that he was stopped due to his license status. Defendant replied, "I know." Defendant was placed under arrest without incident.
