On October 12, 2024, officers stopped a vehicle on East Fish Lake Road near 66th Place North, in the City of Maple Grove, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota because the registered owner had a suspended driver’s license. The vehicle was registered to Alexandra Rae Peterson [DOB REDACTED]. Officers confirmed Peterson was the individual driving the vehicle. Officers observed multiple open alcohol containers inside vehicle. Officers removed Peterson and searched the vehicle. Officers located a total of four baggies that contained white powdery residue, a scale, and other paraphernalia.
Officers also located 6 blue M30 pills and a box containing a white powdery substance. Officers also located approximately 13 pop-out pill sheets. 2 were labeled as containing lorazepam, a schedule IV controlled substance, and contained approximately 22 pills. Peterson was placed under arrest. In a post-Miranda statement, Peterson told officers that the prescription pills belong to the girlfriend of a friend whose name Peterson did not know. Peterson also said she took the plastic baggies containing residue from the people she had been with.
She said the powder in the box was “probably trazadone.” The substances recovered were submitted for lab testing, which showed that the powder in the box weighed approximately 0.021 grams and contained cocaine. The suspected lorazepam prescription pills contained lorazepam. The M30 pills contained acetaminophen but were not consistent with legitimate pharmaceutical preparations. Officers obtained a warrant for Peterson’s prescription records, which showed she did not have an active prescription for lorazepam.
