On May 21, 2025, Minneapolis Police officers were dispatched to a domestic assault call in the area of [ADDRESS REDACTED] North in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The adult female victim had flagged down a bystander’s vehicle and asked them for help. Officers arrived and located the adult female victim, [NAME REDACTED], in the bystanders’ vehicle out of the residence. Victim reported that the father of her children, later fully identified as ROLANDO CESAR ZUNA CAMAS [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, got into an argument with her while he was intoxicated.
Victim reported that Defendant punched her in the left eye multiple times. When Victim [NAME REDACTED], Defendant kicked her multiple times and strangled her until she lost consciousness. When she regained consciousness, she asked Defendant to let her put ice on her face. Defendant allowed Victim [NAME REDACTED] into the kitchen, and she used this opportunity to run out of the house and flag down a bystander, who called 911 for her. Officers noted that Victim’s left eye was swollen shut and that she had multiple scratches on her neck.
Victim went to the hospital for her injuries on May 22, 2024, and underwent a head-to-toe forensic exam. Medical records indicate that victim’s injuries included left supraorbital and periorbital scalp swelling, a left lamina papyracea fracture, a left nasal bone fracture, and left retro-orbital hematoma. Defendant is not currently in custody.
