On March 9, 2026, at about 8:44 AM, officers of the Rochester Police Department were dispatched to a residence in NW Rochester, MN, Olmsted County. Victim (adult female identified in police reports) reported that she had been physically and sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend, GREGORY MILES JONES [DOB REDACTED]. Victim stated that they broke up in early February after he assaulted her. At about 1:30 am, on March 9, Jones came to her residence uninvited. When she open the door he came into the house uninvited.
She allowed him to stay and he started to drink alcohol while they watched TV. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was going to bed and he followed her, she did not ask him to follow her. Jones then become aggressive, he called her names and demanded that she perform oral sex on him. Jones took out his penis and forced Victim [NAME REDACTED] on him. He held onto her head and forced his penis in and out of her mouth. Victim [NAME REDACTED] did not want to perform oral sex, saying no, and attempting to go to sleep.
Jones then made Victim lie on her back while he penetrated her vagina with his penis. He punched Victim [NAME REDACTED], arms, legs and chest multiple times when she would cry out, asked him to stop, tried to resist the sexual assault, or tried to leave the residence. Victim believes the sexual assault lasted for several hours. Victim said that she thought Jones would kill her if she did not comply. When Victim would try to leave the room, Jones would grab her by both shoulders and her arms to prevent her from leaving.
Eventually, Victim was able to convince Jones that she had to go to the bathroom. He followed her to the bathroom and watched her. After the bathroom she started walking back towards the bedroom but was able to get to the stairs and out of the residence. She did not have any clothes on from the waist down. Jones ran after her, fully naked, and yelled that he would kill her if she did not get back in the bed. Jones was able to grab Victim by the hair while outside and dragged her across the ground on her back.
Jones drug Victim [NAME REDACTED]. While in the house he tried to sexually assault her again. Victim was able to escape a second time and sought help from a neighbor. It was noted that Victim was missing portions of her hair. She said that Jones ripped out some of her hair. Officers could see bruising and abrasions on Victim's upper shoulder, a rash that looked like she was drug on the ground, and bruising and open red cuts on her legs and arms. She reported that her whole body hurt and that it hurt to sit down.
Victim was not able to find her phone and believed that Jones had it inside her residence. Witness 1 (adult female identified in police reports) stated that she was at her own residence within the NW residence area that police responded to. Victim is her neighbor and friend. Victim came to Witness 1's residence and stated that she was just raped. Before Witness 1 spoke with Victim she heard screaming and someone calling out her name. Witness 1 opened her door and saw Jones was naked outside and Victim [NAME REDACTED] from the waist down.
