On November 29, 2025, St. Cloud Police Officer Meiners was reviewing open source social media websites such as Facebook and Instagram as part of his role in the Community Response Team (CRT). While reviewing Facebook, he observed the profile of "Michael Guillory", who had created a public post that date. Officer Meiners fully identified the account holder as JAIREN MICHAEL GUILLORY, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, after recognizing him from a separate and recent investigation. Officer Meiners learned the defendant had a recent address in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns and compared his Facebook photos to his active Minnesota Driver's License and confirmed it was the same person.
Officer Meiners observed four photos had been posted by the defendant that date at approximately 10:57 AM, and in the fourth photo he observed he was holding a pistol in each hand out to the side of his body, which displayed the side and backs of the handguns. Officer Meiners identified the firearm in his right hand as a Glock brand style frame and appearance that had a red hand grip that can be applied to it, an extended magazine which showed as significantly longer than the average magazine for a Glock, and a silver auto-sear attachment on the back of the slide of the handgun.
Officer Meiners knew from his training and experience that an auto-sear attachment that is set on the back of a handgun can convert the handgun to become fully automatic versus semi-automatic. Officer Meiners noted that by placing the auto-sear on the back plate of the gun, it will convert to a fully automatic handgun with one pull of the trigger. In the left hand of the male, was a black Glock brand handgun that had a laser or flashlight attachment under the barrel and it again had an extended magazine with yellow marking on it coming out of the magazine well.
Officer Meiners observed the background of the photo had white walls, brown carpet, brown trim, an electric outlet and a wall light. Officer Meiners obtained a search warrant from Facebook and obtained the IP address for the post. He then submitted a search warrant to Charter Spectrum and learned the subscriber was the defendant and that he had it registered to an apartment located in the 300 block of Second Avenue South in the City of Waite Park, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota. Officer Meiners drove to the apartment complex and confirmed the hallway on the second floor matched the background of the photos posted by the defendant on November 29, 2025. On January 8, 2026, Officer Meiners was again reviewing open source social media and observed the defendant had posted a live video on Facebook on January 4, 2026, at 4:09 AM, in which he was taking a selfie style video of him smoking and listening to music.
