On October 27, 2025, at approximately 3:00 A.M., AAO reported to police that she has been getting harassing phone calls and text messages over the past two days. AAO said that she received 57 missed phone calls from two different numbers on October 25. The next day, she received text messages from the numbers stating things like, “I miss you… I know this is [A]…You are mine.” In addition, they sent a nude photo of AAO that was taken when she was in high school, and AAO said she does not know who or how anyone would have gotten that photograph.
AAO said that she is an exotic danger and works at various clubs, but that night the person sending her messages named the club she was working at and said he was going there to rape and kill her. AAO told her boss, who sent her home for her safety. When AAO got home to her residence in St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota, she asked some friends to come over because she was afraid to be alone. While her four friends were there, the person sent her texts stating that they would burn her house down with her, her friends, and her dog inside.
The person also referenced where she lived. In the previous 24 hours, AAO received 88 phone calls from various phone numbers. AAO said that every time she blocked the number, a new number would begin contacting her. Police received a warrant return from TextNow for two of the phone numbers used to harass AAO. For one of the numbers, the subscriber info contained the username of “smith.jeremiah021” with a corresponding email address. For another number, the subscriber info contained the username of “staticshock021” with the name listed as “Jeremiah Smith” and a corresponding email address.
Text message logs showed communication between the phone numbers and AAO. On November 4, AAO spoke with the investigator and provided the names of a few people who she thought might be behind the harassment, including JEREMIAH VIRGIL THOMAS SMITH – [DOB REDACTED]. On November 6, AAO again spoke with the investigator. AAO said she dated SMITH for approximately 11 months and met him while working together at a strip club. AAO stated that they lived together from January 16, 2025 until he moved out in early October of 2025. AAO reported that they ended on okay terms, and it was a mutual breakup.
AAO said SMITH wanted to stay on the lease to help her pay for the bills, and she was agreeable to that initially. However, AAO stated that it became an issue when he would randomly pull up and start things. When AAO told SMITH that she wanted him off the lease, SMITH flipped out and that’s when the resentment started. AAO said she blocked all communication with SMITH. A few days after she re-signed the lease without him on it, which was on October 21, she began receiving the phone calls and messages from random numbers.
