At 9:23 AM on December 27, 2025, Trooper Schwerzler saw a 2013 GMC Acadia bearing Minnesota license plates BARR4 speeding on Interstate 35E. The Acadia was going 94 mph in a 60-mph zone and weaving in and out of traffic. Trooper Schwerzler stopped the Acadia at Interstate 35E and Highway 36, Little Canada, Ramsey County. Trooper Schwerzler made contact with the Acadia’s driver, DAELAH MARIE SCHNEIDER [DOB REDACTED], who had a freshly lit cigarette in her mouth. Schneider said her last drink was two hours earlier – she had two shots of vodka. Trooper Schwerzler smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Schneider when she was removed from the Acadia. Schneider fared poorly on standardized field sobriety tests. Schneider provided a preliminary breath test sample that registered an alcohol concentration of 0.139. Schneider was arrested. Trooper Schwerzler recovered a half-empty bottle of Peach vodka from the center console. The passenger claimed the bottle belonged to him.
Schneider was read the Breath Test Advisory. Schneider called the vehicle’s owner and declined to speak to an attorney. Schneider agreed to provide a breath sample. At 10:37 AM on December 27, 2025, Schneider provided a breath sample that registered an alcohol concentration of 0.09. Schneider has 7 prior felony convictions. On March 27, 2019, Schneider was sentenced on a criminal vehicular operation – great bodily harm having an alcohol concentration of more than 0.08 in Ramsey County District Court file ••-CR-••-••••. Schneider was speeding, blew a stop sign, and crashed into another vehicle.
