Complainant is Maple Grove Police Department Detective Jon Bueckers. Complainant states that on October 28, 2025, officers responded to the Lunds & Byerlys in the city of Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota, regarding a report of a theft that had occurred previously on October 17th, 2025. L&B loss prevention officer E. Cooper advised that he had been investigating a previous theft in which a female suspect had selected multiple items totaling a value of $233.71, concealing them in a dark green army duffle bag, and then left the store with no attempts to pay for any items.
Loss prevention provided video surveillance, however responding officers were unable to find the suspect and submitted this case to investigations. Investigators reviewed the video surveillance and confirmed the events described by E. Cooper. The suspect in the video was identified by law enforcement officers as STACY LYNN TJOENS [DOB REDACTED], based on multiple prior contacts and arrests. TJOENS has three separate pending theft cases from Maple Grove businesses and was convicted at jury trial in September of 2025, of Gross Misdemeanor Obstruction from an incident involving Maple Grove Police Department (••-CR-••-••••). Investigators attempted to contact TJOENS at her last known address at the Extended Stay in Maple Grove, but were advised that TJOENS was no longer staying at that place.
