On or about April 19, 2026, at approximately 1:00 pm, Minneapolis police officers met with adult female Victim at North Memorial Hospital regarding a sexual assault. Victim reported that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her the day before, on or about April 18, 2026. Victim identified her ex-boyfriend as AARON PHILLIP WALKER [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter “Defendant.” Victim [NAME REDACTED] in an on/off relationship for approximately three years. Victim [NAME REDACTED], they were at her residence located on the 2000 block of Willow Avenue North, in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] in bed because she was sick. At approximately 4:30 pm that day, Defendant told her he wanted to have sex. Victim [NAME REDACTED] did not want to have sex and that she was feeling sick. Defendant ignored her, turned her onto her stomach and penetrated her vagina with his penis without her consent. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was hurting and she was sick but Defendant responded, “You need to submit. I’m going to have to beat the f*** out of you.” Defendant also punched Victim in the mouth with a closed fist.
Victim told Defendant to stop hitting her. Victim [NAME REDACTED], Defendant was also being verbally hostile towards her while holding a knife. Victim stated she obtained an Order for Protection recently but the OFP had not been served on Defendant. Officers confirmed there was an active Order for Protection issued on April 10, 2026, in court file no. 27-DA-FA-26-1978. The OFP prohibited Defendant from having any contact with Victim [NAME REDACTED] from the Willow Avenue North address. The OFP had not been served on Defendant at the time of the assault.
Defendant was arrested on April 22, 2026, and remains in custody.
