On July 30, 2025, Prior Lake Police Officer Beau Johnson ("Officer Johnson") received an email complaint from Mystic Lake Casino requesting an investigation and criminal property damage charges for an individual identified as Jamie William Martin, [DOB REDACTED] (hereinafter "DEFENDANT"), who damaged a slot machine. The damage to the slot machine totaled $3,229.76 in damages, per Mystic Lake Casino incident reports. In addition, Mystic Lake Security received a report of a guest injuring herself on a broken slot machine, which alerted surveillance employees to determine both what had happened and how the machine was damaged.
On July 27, 2025, DEFENDANT was observed on surveillance camera punching the slot machine and significantly damaging it. DEFENDANT then left Mystic Lake property, driving off in a white Lincoln Mark 8, bearing MN license plate LMD848. The plate information was shared with Officer Johnson, and Officer Johnson was able to confirm that the driver of the vehicle on the date of the incident matched the registered owner. Officer Johnson confirmed this by comparing the surveillance footage of the incident at Mystic Lake Casino with DEFENDANT'S driver's license photograph.
After identifying DEFENDANT, Officer Johnson attempted to call DEFENDANT but was unsuccessful. For these reasons, the State hereby submits this Statement of Probable Cause as a Complaint Summons. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges, and in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
