On September 29, 2025, at approximately 7:55 P.M., Maple Grove Police were driving through the Fountains Shopping Center parking lot in Maple Grove, Hennepin County, and observed two individuals quickly walking away from Marshalls. One of the individuals was holding a large hamper filled with items and the other individual was following close behind with a cart full of merchandise. None of the items appeared to be in bags. Based on the sergeants experience with retail theft, the sergeant attempted to make contact with Marshalls regarding the potential theft and observed the two suspects enter a dark SUV (MN NEK294). The sergeant observed the vehicle did not have the headlights on and ran a stop sign when exiting the parking lot.
The sergeant turned on the emergency lights to conduct a stop but the vehicle fled. The sergeant returned to Marshalls and confirmed a theft had occurred. Video surveillance shows the two suspects selecting numerous items and leaving the store without attempting to pay for or forfeit the merchandise. Police later received an inventory of the stolen items which totaled $1,981.25. The sergeant contacted TJX investigations and was sent still photographs of the suspects involved in the theft. On October 6, 2025, law enforcement requested assistance in identifying the suspects.
Through multiple responses, police identified the suspects as SHIRI NICOLE FISHER [DOB REDACTED], Defendant Fisher herein, as well as MARY ANN SELDON [DOB REDACTED], Defendant Seldon herein. Defendant Fisher was identified by distinctive tattoos in the surveillance footage that match her tattoos previously identified in a separate arrest. Defendant Seldon was identified in relation to a separate theft incident, with the surveillance footage distinctly matching prior photographs. At present, Defendant Fisher and Defendant Seldon are not in custody.
