The Complainant having reviewed the applicable reports believes the following facts to be true: On September 14, 2025, officers with the St. Paul Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Van Buren Avenue in the City of St. Paul, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota for a reported domestic assault. Upon arrival, they spoke with K. A. S., fully identified in the police reports, who advised that her husband, William Jesse Sperry, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein had already fled the scene.
While speaking with K. A. S., the defendant used the residence’s camera speakers to state that K. A. S. Was lying. He did not avail himself of the officers’ offer to return to the scene and give them his side of the story. K. A. S. Reported that they returned from a friend’s house and were watching the Vikings game. The defendant was upset about the game loss. He began to argue with the repairs on her truck. K. A. S. Admitted that she called the defendant names, which upset him further. He pushed K. A. S. To the floor and placed his knee on the back of her neck.
K. A. S. Struggled to breathe and felt uncomfortable partially due to the fact that she was recovering from a rib fracture caused by the defendant. The defendant got off of K. A. S. And walked to her truck. K. A. S. Followed because she was afraid of what the defendant would do to her truck. The defendant began to charge at her and she turned around. She felt the defendant strike her in the back of her head. She tried to get away, but the defendant struck her again and tackled her to the ground. He then got up and fled the area.
K. A. S. Provided officers with a video clip of the assault from one of the residence’s cameras. The defendant pushed K. A. S. And struck her in the right side of her face. He then wrapped his arm around her neck and threw her to the ground before fleeing the scene. K. A. S. Advised that the defendant deleted other clips from the cameras before she could download them. Officers have not located the defendant. Complainant has concerns for K. A. S.’s safety given the current incident as well as the report that the defendant broke K. A. S.’s ribs.
Complainant requests a warrant for the defendant’s arrest.
