On or about November 05, 2025, Law Enforcement were dispatched to a residence on Bluebird Street NW in Coon Rapids, Anoka County, Minnesota on a delayed report of a motor vehicle theft. The complainant, [NAME REDACTED], stated that she loaned her friend, MICHAEL DANIEL CORONA [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, her 2005 Honda Accord back in September of 2025, with an understanding that he would return it within a few days. After two months, Defendant still had not returned the vehicle, and was pretending not to recognize A. R. When she attempted to contact him about the vehicle.
A. R. Provided text messages showing her conversations with Defendant, who either would claim that he did not know her, or would promise to return the vehicle shortly, but never acted on the agreement. At one point, Defendant told A. R. That the vehicle was parked at a location in Prior Lake. When A. R. Traveled to the location, her car was not there. Defendant told Law Enforcement that the vehicle was located at Kasson Church of Christ located in Kasson, MN. The vehicle was not at the church when Law Enforcement checked.
Law enforcement subsequently located the vehicle parked at Defendant’s home in Kasson, Dodge County. The vehicle was recovered and returned to A. R. In a text conversation with Defendant, he claimed that A. R. Had given him permission to use the vehicle indefinitely, which was not corroborated by the victim’s own text messages.
