In the months of August and September of 2025, law enforcement investigated a burglary of a local restaurant involving three males later identified as DEONTA LAPREE JORDAN, [DOB REDACTED] (JORDAN), RICHARD DE LOS SANTOS, [DOB REDACTED] (DE LOS SANTOS), and JUSTIN KARIAKIS VALENCIA, [DOB REDACTED] (VALENCIA). On August 29, 2025, at approximately 3:28 A.M., deputies with the Rice County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 9800 block of 50th St in Veseli, Rice County, Minnesota for a report of a burglary at Brewsters Bar & Grill.
Dispatch advised the deputies that the reporting party stated the security alarm was going off, the window was open, and there was a lot of destruction inside. Upon arrival on scene, deputies cleared the building and met with the reporting party and owner of the business, Victim 1. Victim 1 told deputies they received a phone call from the alarm company around 3:13 A.M. Stating there was motion inside the business. They told the alarm company not to notify law enforcement because they believed it was a false alarm.
A few minutes later, the alarm company called back and stated there was additional motion inside. Victim 1 arrived at the business around 3:20 A.M. When they noticed the pull tab alarm and business alarm were audible and the south window was open. They saw the business had been rummaged through and called law enforcement. A patio chair had been pushed up to the exterior wall and underneath a sliding glass window on the south patio area. The window appeared to have been pried open from the outside.
The two pull tab machines in the corner of the bar had been moved, had pry marks on them, and were missing money. The scratch off machine was also damaged by apparent pry marks. The business security footage showed the following: · 03:03:50AM – 2 suspects walk toward the south of the business. Suspect 1 is wearing black shoes with distinct white markings, dark colored pants, a dark colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt and blue gloves. Suspect 2 is wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, dark colored shoes and a blue backpack; · 03:04:30AM – Suspects walk up the deck; · 03:05:27AM – Suspect 1 removes tools from backpack and removes the screen from window; · 03:07:15AM – Suspect 1 pries the window open and moves a table and chair under the window to climb in; · 03:09:00AM – Suspect 1 enters through window carrying a pry bar; · 03:09:14AM – Suspect 2 enters through window carrying a longer pry bar; · 03:09:33AM – Both suspects attempt to pry into the pull tab vending machines; · 03:10:07AM – Suspect 1 gets the top of the first machine open and removes cash; · 03:10:12AM – Suspect 2 moves to second machine; 3 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 2/26/2026 · 03:10:34AM – Suspect 1 again opens and removes cash from the second machine; · 03:12:07AM – Suspect 2 is observed wearing black ripped jeans and black gloves with a unique logo; · 03:12:17AM – Suspect 1 kicks front door open and exits; · 03:12:21AM – Suspect 2 exits; That same morning, August 29, 2025, shortly before 4:00 A.M., another business in New Prague was the victim [NAME REDACTED]. This business, located in Scott County, Minnesota is approximately 12 miles or 18 minutes via the most direct/shortest route from Victim 1’s business.
