The following is based on your complainant’s review of the reports of other officers and your complainant’s own investigation: On September 6, 2025, at about 5:45pm, a Roseville Police officer working at Rosedale Center Mall, 1595 Highway 36 W., Roseville, Ramsey County was directed by mall security to a man who was currently trespassed from the mall. The officer directed the man to stop, but he ran out of the mall and into the parking lot, while carrying a plastic bag. The officer pursued, and eventually the man fell and was detained.
He was identified as the defendant, MADAR YASIN OLAD ([DOB REDACTED]). Several warrants were found to be outstanding for his arrest. He was also confirmed to have received repeated notices of trespass from the mall. The defendant was found to be wearing multiple layers of clothing, all with security sensors and new tags, under his outer clothing. The security sensors were wrapped in tinfoil, in an attempt to defeat the store security towers. Some of the tinfoil was also burnt. A lighter was in the defendant’s pocket.
It appeared that he had attempted to burn at least one sensor in order to disable it. The tinfoil and lighters were recovered. The plastic bag which the defendant had been carrying was found to contain more stolen merchandise and more tinfoil. The defendant complained of medical issues and was transported to Regions Hospital. He was released from law enforcement custody and admitted. The defendant faces multiple pending charges for theft and other crimes. At least eight warrants are currently outstanding for his arrest.
A warrant is therefore respectfully requested in this case as well.
