On September 25, 2025, at approximately 11:34 P.M., officers of the Austin Police Department were dispatched to a disturbance at 321 261 Street SW in the City of Austin, County of Mower. Victim A (an adult male) advised that MARIAN ANNETTE GRAP, DOB/041463, the defendant herein, was destroying his residence with a hammer. Officers learned that a probationary domestic abuse no contact order (DANCO) was issued by Mower County District Court on May 25, 2023, in file ••-CR-••-••••, The probationary DANCO prohibits Victim A from having any contact with the defendant.
Officers Hansen and Johnson arrived and made contact with Victim A outside of his residence. Victim A told the officers that the defendant had been calling him repeatedly, so he picked her up and brought her to his residence. VictimA stated that the defendant became agitated, threatened him, and destroyed things inside his residence with a hammer. He advised the officers that the defendant was still inside and had "barricaded" the front door. Officers knocked on the locked front door and called for the defendant to come out, but she did not respond.
Officer Hansen obtained the keys from Victim A and unlocked the door. The officer noted that there were two pieces of furniture placed against the door and the officers had to push their way in. The officers gave additional commands to the defendant to come out. The defendant made verbal contact with Hansen and walked out of Victim A's bedroom located near the north end of the trailer. The defendant met officers in the living room and was placed in handcuffs. Officer Hansen cleared the rest of the trailer and observed a large amount of damaged property including broken glass, smashed furniture, and items strewn across the floor.
Estimated damage caused by the defendant is unknown at this time. Once the defendant was secured, Officer Hansen spoke with Victim A. Victim A stated that the defendant had been trying to call him numerous times throughout the day and night. He stated that due to the continuous attempts from the defendant to get in contact, he felt like he must answer just to "shut her up" for a while. Victim A stated that he did eventually speak with the defendant, and she told him to pick her up. Victim A stated that he went to the defendant's residence at the Twin Towers and picked her up between 7:00 and 7:30 P.M. He said they went back to his residence to talk about things.
Victim A said that after they arrived, she started "going off" and swinging at him. After approximately 30 minutes, Victim A left to take a walk hoping she would calm down. Victim A stated that when he returned, he found the door "barricaded." He said that he was able to push his way back into his residence and found the defendant in his bed. She confronted the defendant about where he had been and did not believe him when he told her. Victim A stated that the defendant had a smaller brown handled claw hammer with her in the bed.
