On November 8, 2025, Maple Grove Police Officers responded to a theft report at Target, [ADDRESS REDACTED] North, Maple Grove, Hennepin County. Loss Prevention Officer J. S. Reported that he observed a male pass all points of sale without attempting to pay for a Shark Vacuum Cleaner. In reviewing surveillance, J. S. Observed that the male also had several other items in his cart that he did not pay for. The total value of the items stolen is $1,175.82. J. S. Reported the male loaded the items into a white Audi with Minnesota license plate [PLATE REDACTED], got into the driver's seat, and started driving away.
Officers stopped the Audi and confirmed with J. S. That the driver was the male he observed leaving Target with the stolen merchandise. The male was identified as HUNTER ROBERT BOST, Defendant herein. In plain view inside the Audi was several pieces of merchandise with security tags still attached. The Defendant was placed under arrest. The Defendant stated to Officers that his license was suspended, he had stolen the vacuum from Target, and it was located in the trunk. Officers confirmed that the Defendant had a revoked driver's license and had an ignition interlock restriction on his license which the Audi was not equipped with.
On the passenger floorboard was a purse with hypodermic needles inside and visible. In the center console was a canister of Narcan. In a search incident to arrest at the jail, Officers located three plastic baggies of FTP methamphetamine that weighed 1.96 grams. In the Defendant's right shoe was a pipe. The Defendant is currently out of custody.
