On January 14, 2026, at approximately 5:28 A.M., officers from the St. Cloud Police Department were on scene near the 1100 block of 9th Avenue South in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, for an unwanted persons call. The complainants, fully identified in police reports, stated Nyanchar James Gach, [DOB redacted], the defendant herein, was trying to get into their house and they wanted her to leave. Officers made contact with the defendant and offered her a ride. Defendant refused and continued to walk around outside.
Police again told Defendant she needed to leave. Defendant walked to some nearby apartments and got into a running vehicle that was parked outside. One of the officers rushed towards defendant, opened the back passenger door, and told the defendant to stop. Defendant backed the car up and hit a parked car. She then put the car in drive and then turned and struck another vehicle before ultimately going southbound on 9th Avenue South. Police located the vehicle crashed near the intersection of Clearwater Road and 22nd Street South.
Defendant was located in a back-seat of another vehicle and placed under arrest. Police spoke to the individual who had been idling the vehicle outside, F. L. L. (fully identified in police reports). She stated that the vehicle belongs to her father. They had jumped the vehicle and were letting it idle because the battery had died. The keys were left in the ignition and there was no way to lock it. F. L. L. Said she saw someone get into her father's vehicle and take off. No one, aside from F. L. L. Or her father, had permission to use the vehicle.
Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above named defendant, on the 14th day of January, 2026 in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offense described herein.
