On or about October 28, 2025, at around 2:00 P.M., police executed a search warrant at [ADDRESS REDACTED] N in Minneapolis in Hennepin County, MN. As police in a Lenco BearCat, a large tactical militarized SWAT vehicle, approached the address a male in the front yard looked at the BearCat and ran to the backyard. Later identified as LEON LAMOND CLINKSCALE [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, he wore a black jacket and black pants. Defendant ran back into the front yard, jumped a fence, and ran down Hillside Avenue.
As he ran in the direction of a squad car, a policeman exited and yelled, "police! Stop! You are under arrest!". The policeman chased Defendant on foot. Defendant laid himself on the street, and the policeman detained him. Police identified defendant by his DVS photograph, face tattoos, and features. Police searched Defendant incident to arrest. In his upper left jacket pocket, police located a clear plastic bag containing a white powder and a purple package of a number of pills of different shape and color.
Defendant made a number of unprovoked statements. He admitted to being a drug user, that he was caught with a user amount, that he had just purchased the drugs from the address, and that he just wanted to go and get high. Police discovered Defendant's Wisconsin warrant for burglary. Police tested the powder and pills. The white powder that had been in the clear plastic bag weighed 1.3 grams without packaging. It field-tested positive for fentanyl. A piece of one of the eight pills field-tested positive for ecstasy.
