On January 13, 2026, at 4:50 P.M. Dick's Sport Goods employee located in Woodbury, Washington County, Minnesota reporting a shoplifting that occurred. The suspect later identified as Christopher Eugene Walker, Jr., [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, took an armful of clothes and exited the store without paying for it. Defendant ran from the store and got into the passenger seat in a running vehicle in the parking lot. A license plate was obtained of the vehicle. Defendant took $1,014 worth of merchandise from the store.
Detective Olson spoke with the registered owner of the vehicle on January 26, 2026, and learned that her daughter mainly drives the vehicle. Daughter admitted to driving Defendant to the store on January 13, 2026, but said she did not know what he planned to do. Law enforcement also confirmed Defendant identification from the surveillance via his DOC agent and Hennepin County CISA. Law enforcement was unable to reach Defendant to discuss this incident with him. A check of Defendant's criminal history reveals the following convictions: 1. Possession of a firearm after conviction for a crime of violence in ••-CR-••-•••• on 10-25-2021 2. Possession of a firearm after conviction for a crime of violence in ••-CR-••-•••• on 4-10-2018 3. Aggravated robbery in the 1st degree in ••-CR-••-•••• on 1-24-2017.
