On September 19, 2025, Maple Grove police officers met with adult female Victim at North Memorial Hospital regarding a sexual assault. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been assaulted by a male identified as TERRIEON LOFTON [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter “Defendant,” at his residence located in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on August 31, 2025, at the Minnesota State Fair. They exchanged numbers and stayed in contact after the fair. A few days later, she went to his house, located on 24th Avenue North, in Minneapolis, and they had consensual sexual intercourse.
About a week and a half after that, on September 16, 2025, Victim went back to Defendant’s house. They were sitting on the bed in his bedroom smoking marijuana when Defendant told her to get underneath the covers. Victim did not want to have sex with Defendant at that time and did not want to be underneath the blankets but Defendant insisted so she complied. Defendant then started removing her pants against her will. Victim told Defendant to wait but Defendant ignored her. Defendant then forcefully penetrated her vagina with his penis without her consent.
Victim told Defendant to stop but Defendant continued to ignore her pleas. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was crying and trying to push him off. At one point, she looked back and saw that he was holding his cell phone and the flashlight on the cell phone was on. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was recording the assault. Victim stated she panicked and eventually was able to push him off. She then stood up and immediately started putting her pants back on. Defendant asked her if he could finish on her body but she was crying and told him no.
As she was getting dressed, she saw a handgun sitting on his dresser in the bedroom. Victim [NAME REDACTED] did not use or threaten her with the handgun in any way but she was scared regardless. Victim [NAME REDACTED] at that point. Defendant poses a danger to public safety. The State respectfully requests a warrant issue with this complaint.
