Your complainant states that on October 31, 2025, at approximately 11:42 P.M., while on routine patrol, he observed a vehicle fail to stop for the stop sign at Minnesota Lane and Rockford Road in the City of Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The vehicle turned eastbound on Rockford Road, where your complainant observed it move from the right lane to the left without signaling. Your complainant initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle, a Chevrolet Cruz bearing Minnesota license plate number FAB344, and made contact with its driver, who said he did not have his California driver’s license in his possession and identified himself as Osamende Okungbowa, [DOB REDACTED]. A records check located an individual with the name Osamede Okungbowa, [DOB REDACTED]. When asked for his social security number, the defendant stated that he did not know it.
While standing at the vehicle, Officer McLaughlin saw a wallet in plain view near the driver. Your complainant asked the driver if he had anything with his name on it. The driver handed your complainant a credit card bearing the name “Dane D Gbeintor.” The driver was identified as DANE DOLO GBEINTOR, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, and stated that Osamede Okungbowa is his cousin. A records check revealed that the defendant does not have a driver’s license. During transport to the Hennepin County Jail, the defendant spat all over the inside of your complainant’s squad, so much so that a professional cleaning service had to be contacted.
Your complainant later made telephone contact with Osamede Okungbowa, who stated that he grew up with the defendant in Sacramento, California, but they are not cousins. Mr. Okungbowa stated that the defendant has used his name before, and he did not give him permission to do so.
