Rahsaan Richard Vernon

On or about 11/13/25 at around 1:13 P.M., officers responded to a report of a domestic assault by strangulation. Victim [NAME REDACTED] has had an on again off again relationship with Rahsaan Vernon, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein. The night of 11/12/25, Victim [NAME REDACTED] at Defendant's place in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, MN. Victim stated that Defendant wanted to have sex with Victim, [NAME REDACTED] did not want to. Defendant became angry and punched and slapped Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant also bit Victim on the face and forehead.

Defendant placed both his hands around Victim's neck and strangled Victim. Victim [NAME REDACTED] during this. The assault eventually stopped after several hours. Victim pretended to fall asleep and then left Defendant's place. Victim stated that she believed that Defendant would kill her. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had showed up to her house around 11:30 A.M. On 11/13 and banged on the doors and windows. Victim had multiple bruises and marks on her body, neck, and head.
