On February 23, 2025, at approximately 8:17 PM, Det. Cooper of the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office and members of the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crime Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on a black 2007 Ford Fusion on the southbound 75th Street ramp off of Hwy 52 in Olmsted County, Minnesota. Brian Ven Vangrevenhof ([DOB REDACTED]), Defendant herein, was the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle. Defendant was detained and searched pursuant to the warrant as well. Law enforcement searched the vehicle.
Deputy Riley found a drawstring-type bag containing two large clear plastic bags of a white crystal substance that appeared to be methamphetamine hidden behind the panels housing the center console area of the vehicle. One bag weighed 454.1 grams and the substance inside field-tested positive for methamphetamine. The second bag weighed 453.8 grams and field-tested positive for methamphetamine. After locating the methamphetamine, Det. Cooper obtained a search warrant for Defendant's residence in SE Rochester.
Lt. Dammen located two working digital scales in the kitchen of the residence. The scales tested positive for methamphetamine. Defendant gave a Mirandized statement to Det. Cooper. Defendant said he had obtained approximately two pounds of methamphetamine and was bringing them to his residence for distribution. Defendant was convicted of 1st Degree Controlled Substance Crime in ••-CR-••-••••. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE.
