On or about 4/5/26 at around 11:51 P.M., officers responded to a domestic incident at an address on the 9600 block of Rosewood Ln N in Maple Grove, Hennepin County, MN. Victim [NAME REDACTED], Jonathan Hamilton [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, had threatened her life. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on the prior Friday, Defendant and thrown one of their sons against a wall and grabbed the other son by his collar. Victim then told Defendant that she wanted a divorce. On Sunday, April 5, Defendant texted Victim [NAME REDACTED] was mentally unstable.
Victim asked a family member to check on Defendant. When Victim [NAME REDACTED], Defendant was drunk. Defendant stated that he was "going to lose my shit." Victim asked him what he meant and Defendant replied "I don't know. We'll find out." Defendant's family member then drove Defendant to the hospital. The family member told police that Defendant said that he was going to "take her out with me", referring to Victim. Defendant said "just wait until Thursday." The family member asked Defendant what was going to happen on Thursday and Defendant stated "just wait and see." Defendant stated, referring to Victim, "She's done.
If I'm going to suffer she's going suffer." Defendant than said "I'm going to kill her. I could just kill her. I could just murder her." Defendant told the family member that he was going to send the kids to school on Thursday, and then was going to "take care of things" by killing Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant is a butcher and has access to multiple knives. He has previously stated that he is a meat manager and can make anyone disappear. Defendant has family and friends that have guns he may have access to.
Defendant is currently not in custody. Due to the severe risk for public safety, the State is asking for a warrant at this time.
