On March 11, 2026, at approximately 8:02 A.M., Richfield Police responded to a theft report at Menards, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Richfield, Hennepin County. Upon arrival, police spoke with loss prevention and learned there had been numerous thefts in October 2025. Loss prevention reported that on October 21, 2025, at approximately 1:43 P.M., a male suspect entered the store and proceeded to go straight to the hardware section. The male suspect was later identified as JONATHAN RYAN PARSON [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.

Defendant then selected multiple items including a tool bag, router, and sander, before exiting the store without attempting to forfeit or pay for the items. The total loss on this incident was $372.99. On October 22, 2025, at approximately 12:32 P.M., Defendant returned to the store and entered the automotive section. Defendant then selected an automotive battery and exited the store. The loss from the theft was $124.99. Later that day, on October 22, 2025, Defendant entered the store again at approximately 5:06 P.M. And entered the routers section.

Defendant selected a rotary hammer drill and exited the store. The total value of the theft was $769. On October 27, 2025, at approximately 6:25 P.M., a Menards employee observed Defendant in the store and recognized him from the previous thefts. The employee contact Richfield Police who identified Defendant and trespassed him from Menards. The total loss from the thefts is $1,506.84. An investigator obtained Defendant's most recent booking photograph from March 2, 2026, and compared it to the Menard's surveillance footage, confirming Defendant was the suspect in all of the theft incidents.

At present, Defendant is not in custody.
