Count 1Fugitive from Justice from Other StateObstruction
Probable Cause
On April 6, 2026, DAVID TIMOTHY JOHNSTON [DOB REDACTED], was taken into custody by the Woodbury Police Department in connection with a pending arrest warrant issued from St. Croix County, State of Wisconsin in a case charging defendant with Ct. 1: (Felony) Possession of Methamphetamine, Ct. 2: (Felony) Possession of Narcotic Drugs, and Ct. 3: (Misdemeanor) Possession of THC (Ct. File No. 2025CF000682). The defendant's arrest warrant was issued on April 2, 2026, by the Honorable Michael Waterman because the defendant failed to appear as required on April 2, 2026. Defendant has apparently informed jail staff that he will waive extradition to Wisconsin.
The Washington County Jail/Sheriff's Office has confirmed with St. Croix County that they will extradite the defendant. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: YOU MUST APPEAR FOR EVERY COURT HEARING REGARDING THIS CASE. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
