That on or about October 10, 2025, at approximately 22:57 Hennepin County Sheriff’s Deputies and Detention Deputies were working at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center located at 401 4th Avenue South in the City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota, when they responded to an assault between two inmates that were being processed. Inmate R. A. B. Victim herein, had finished all the steps in the process and was sitting on a bench eating food. Inmate CHRISTOPHER EDWARD KARLS, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, was on his way to being fingerprinted, and he approached Victim and said “I know you from Stillwater.

Both Victim and Defendant fell to the floor and were eventually separated.
