In January 2026, Carver County Sheriff's Detective Weber was conducting an undercover child solicitation operation utilizing social media platforms and online chat-based applications. An undercover profile (hereinafter "UC") was created utilizing photographs of a young-looking female and the name “Shelby”. On January 29, 2026, the UC profile received a message on Reddit from an individual, later identified as KYLE FRANCISLEE BRAULT, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein. When the UC told the defendant she was 15-year-old, the defendant responded that he was "waaay to[sic] old to be talking to you". On February 3, 2026, the defendant sent the UC a photograph of a clothed male's groin area with an erection visible underneath the clothing.

On February 8, 2026, the defendant sent the UC a peach and eggplan emoji then sent the following messages: "Bet you are tight"; "Can I see"; "You like bwc (big white cock)". The defendant then sent another eggplant emoji and the following messages: "My [eggplant emoji] would breat you"; "You'd get split"; "Big enough to make it hurt"; "Fat cock". On February 9, 2026, the defendant sent the UC the following messages: "Every play w(with) yourself?"; "I bet your [peach emoji] got so wet"; "You ever try it in your butthole". The defendant then told the UC he could not send her a picture of his face because he would "get in big trouble". On February 11, 2026, the defendant sent the UC three photographs of an adult male's erect penis, then sent the following messages: “You think you can handle something like that?"; "Would not fit in your butt"; "I bet you are tight af(as fuck) though"; On February 12, 2026, the defendant sent the UC the following messages: “Hard to walk around with this thing ;)"; "Yeah it's visible through the work pants"; "Wish you could sit on my lap ;)"; t me to cum?”; “Then I can cum inside you”; "Make you wet"; "Sit on my face??"; "Eat you out.

On March 9, 2026, the defendant sent the UC the following messages: “Woudl love to see that ass spread ;)". On March 10, 2026, the defendant sent the UC the following messages: “I would split you open"; "I know ;) I wish I could see your tight pussy". On March 19, 2026, sent the UC a picture of an adult male's erect nude penis. On March 19, 2026, the defendant was arrested and after being read his Miranda rights, the defendant admitted that the explicit photographs that were sent to the UC were of him.
