On March 5, 2026, at 2105 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to the 100 block of Acker, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a domestic assault. PET, [DOB REDACTED], reported that her live-in boyfriend, Cole Anthony Meadows, [DOB REDACTED], assaulted her. She said that he is not on the lease, but she had been allowing him to stay there for a few months. She said that they argued, and he slapped her on the right cheek with an open hand causing redness. She called her brother and told him what happened.
The suspect left the scene prior to police arriving. PET reported that Meadows had brought a firearm into the house. She said that he is not supposed to have firearms, and she wanted it removed from the house. She showed officers a shotgun that had been tucked between the mattress and the box spring. The gun had been reported stolen out of Fargo, North Dakota. She said that Meadows purchased the gun from a friend. Officers obtained a search warrant for a sample of the suspect’s DNA. The suspect was in custody on another matter when officers executed the warrant on March 16, 2026. He asked for a lawyer prior to the execution of the warrant so officers did not interview him.
