At around 1:30 am on 09/15/2025, a theft was captured on surveillance cameras. Later in the day, an officer interviewed NK who reported that he had parked his 2006 Toyota Tundra in a parking lot of his apartment building, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE in the City of Fridley, in the County of Anoka. NK reported that when he had started his vehicle that morning, it had sounded odd. He looked under the vehicle and found that both catalytic converters had been removed and stolen. The officer obtained the video surveillance of that night, and around 1:30 am, a vehicle enters the parking lot.
The driver, later identified as Christ Hae [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant, and another male exit the vehicle and, using a tool and a light, remove the converter from NK's vehicle. Defendant was later arrested on an unrelated warrant, and, during a search of his vehicle, the 7 catalytic converters were found as well as, multiple power tools, a floor jack and a prybar. The estimated value of the catalytic converters for NK's vehicle is $3,810.55.
