On March 26, 2026, at 1900 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to an aggravated robbery at Minnehaha and Hazel, St. Paul, Ramsey County. AAA reported that he agreed to meet a man is St. Paul to complete a Facebook Market Place transaction. AAA was to sell a Goyard handbag to the suspect for $350. The male attempted to send the money through a Cash App transaction. The money did not transfer. The male then produced a black handgun, pointed it at AAA, grabbed the handbag, and fled in a 2008, Nissan Altima, RVP001. AAA followed the fleeing vehicle in his vehicle.
At one point, the suspect stopped, got out of the driver’s seat and pointed the gun at AAA for a second time. The suspect vehicle crashed into another vehicle and the suspect fled on foot. AAA's car camera captured clear images of the suspect. Investigation revealed that the registered owner of the suspect vehicle had sold the vehicle to a male with the phone number [PHONE REDACTED]. That number registered to Derrick Robert Mansheck, [DOB REDACTED]. Officers compared Driver’s License images of Mansheck to the vehicle camera footage.
They were an exact match. Officers executed a search warrant on the crashed suspect vehicle and recovered the stolen handbag and an extended handgun magazine from the interior of the vehicle. On April 2, 2026, officers arrested Manshek at his mother’s apartment. He declined a custodial interview.
